Pigeons Playing Ping Pong Book Twiddle and TAUK for Domefest 2023
The band's own festival returns to Legend Valley on May 19 and 20 with five Pigeons sets, a Twiddle booking that is their first at the site since 2014, three Domefest debuts and a pre-party in Columbus.

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong have announced the lineup for Domefest 2023, the festival the band itself produces, set for May 19 and 20, 2023 at Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio.
The band will play five sets across the weekend, including a special “Under Cover” set.
Early-bird weekend-pass pricing runs through 11:59 p.m. ET on February 28, 2023 at lv.ticketspice.com/domefest2023, after which prices rise.
Twiddle back at Legend Valley
Twiddle are on the bill for two sets, and the booking marks the Vermont band’s first appearance at Legend Valley since 2014.
The lineup also carries TAUK, Magic Beans with two sets, Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers, Chalk Dinosaur with two sets, The North 41 and Ernie Johnson From Detroit.
Three acts making their Domefest debut
Barefuzz, a psychedelic rock band from Columbus, plays two sets, one of original material and one paying tribute to Pink Floyd.
Houseplant, a neo-psychedelic groove rock outfit from Louisville, Kentucky, is the second newcomer. The third is crypto WAVE radio, the EDM production and multi-instrumental project of Austin Litz, who fronts the Domefest alumni band LITZ.
The All-Stars set returns
The Domefest All-Stars, a revolving group drawn from musicians across the weekend’s lineup, are booked again. The 2022 edition of that set was named to nugs.net’s list of the top guest sit-ins of 2022.
A pre-party in Columbus
The weekend opens early with a ticket-holders-only pre-party on May 18, 2023 at Skully’s Music Diner in Columbus, Ohio, hosted by Pigeons Playing Ping Pong.
What the weekend pass covers
Domefest is a two-day music and camping festival, with art installations, workshops and vendors alongside the music.
Weekend passes are on sale, with limited quantities of “High Flyer” VIP tickets, general admission car camping and RV passes.
A band running its own festival
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong are a funk and jam quartet based in Baltimore: Greg Ormont, Jeremy Schon, Ben Carrey and Alex Petropulos. The band books, organizes and produces Domefest itself rather than handing it to an outside promoter.
The event started as a one-day college music show and grew from there. Its tenth edition, staged in 2019 at Marvin’s Mountaintop in Masontown, West Virginia, ran three days and drew more than 2,000 people.
That model is one the Finger Lakes knows well. The Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival was founded in 1990 by roots-rock band Donna the Buffalo, who host it and play it every year.
