Fall at the State: Marcus King, Trampled by Turtles, Punch Brothers, Béla Fleck

The State Theatre of Ithaca has its fall calendar filled in, and it is a good one for anyone who likes strings.

• September 13 — Marcus King Band, Darling Blue Tour Pt. 2, with Penelope Road
• September 16 — Trampled by Turtles
• November 9 — Sammy Rae & The Friends
• November 14 — Punch Brothers
• November 20 — The Wailin’ Jennys
• December 6 — Béla Fleck

That is Punch Brothers and Béla Fleck three weeks apart in a 1,600-seat room at 107 West State Street, which is the kind of scheduling that makes living in Ithaca worth the winters.
