NEW YORK — Phish will play a four-night New Year’s run at Madison Square Garden on December 30 and 31, 2026 and January 1 and 2, 2027. The band announced the dates on October 7.
The final night, Saturday, January 2, will be Phish’s 100th show at the Garden. Jambands reports that it is also the first time since 2016 that one of the band’s New Year’s runs has ended in January.
Ticket requests are open through Monday, October 12 at noon Eastern at tickets.phish.com. The general public on-sale follows Friday, October 16 at noon Eastern.

The band shared a video with the announcement featuring longtime Garden employees. Jambands describes it as covering the ushers, bartenders, and concession and merchandise staff who have worked the band’s shows at the arena.
Thirty-two years since the first one
Phish made their Madison Square Garden debut on December 30, 1994, so the run opens 32 years to the day after that first show. Live For Live Music counts 17 New Year’s runs at the venue, along with the 13-night Baker’s Dozen residency in 2017.
Jambands notes that Billy Joel is the only other rock act to play the Garden more than 100 times.
Counting down in July
The band played five shows at the Garden in July, its 92nd through 96th there. Each night nodded to a year in the band’s history from 1992 to 1996, through setlists, theatrics and clothing styles.
Jambands reports that the July run brought back several songs and returned Trey Anastasio’s mini drum kit to the stage, which he has continued to use since.
Fall tour and Mexico
The announcement came on the second of two nights at the Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront in Richmond, Virginia, part of the band’s eight-show fall tour. Consequence reports that the band heads to Mexico in January for its annual Phish: Riviera Maya destination event.
Tickets
Requests through the band’s ticketing site close Monday, October 12 at noon Eastern. The general public on-sale is Friday, October 16 at noon Eastern. The announcement does not list ticket prices.
A limited number of travel packages, which bundle hotel rooms with show tickets, go on sale Thursday, October 8 at noon Eastern.
Ticket requests are open through Phish.
