Gov't Mule Bring the Summer Run Back to Artpark
The band co-headlines the Artpark Amphitheater with JJ Grey & Mofro on August 6, their seventh appearance at the Lewiston park by setlist.fm's count.

LEWISTON, N.Y. — Gov’t Mule return to the Artpark Amphitheater on Thursday, August 6, in a co-headlining bill with JJ Grey & Mofro. The date is part of the band’s Kicking In Your Stall summer tour.
It is one of three New York dates on that run, after Point of the Bluff in Hammondsport on July 24 and the Great South Bay Music Festival in Patchogue on July 25.
The amphitheater opens at 5 p.m. on event nights. Tickets went on general sale April 10 through the Artpark box office and Ticketmaster.
The venue
Artpark sits on 108 acres above the Niagara Gorge, opened in 1974 and operated by Artpark & Company Inc. for New York State Parks. The park runs two performance spaces, and this show is at the outdoor Amphitheater rather than the enclosed Mainstage Theater.
The Amphitheater holds up to 10,000 across a front-of-stage viewing area and tiered lawn sections, with a fabric-covered terrace for sponsored seating. The Mainstage, by comparison, seats 2,400 with lawn space for another 2,000.
Ticket types include Front of Stage and a wristbanded, gated GA Bowl, plus reserved sections and lawn. Chairs are not permitted at every Amphitheater show, so the policy is worth checking against this date. There is no re-entry, shows run rain or shine with no refunds, and parking is $10 for cars.
A regular stop since 2000
setlist.fm logs six previous Gov’t Mule appearances at Artpark, all at the Amphitheater: June 9, 2000, July 29, 2008, June 12, 2013, August 8, 2017, July 24, 2018 and September 7, 2021. August 6 makes seven.
Several of those fell under Artpark’s long-running Tuesday in the Park series, though the setlist.fm entries are user-contributed and at least one series attribution does not match the day of the week it carries.
