Goose Cut 'Dripfield' at The ISOKON in Woodstock

Goose released Dripfield on June 24, 2022 via No Coincidence Records. The 10-track album was produced and engineered by D. James Goodwin at The ISOKON in Woodstock, N.Y.
It is the band’s third studio album and its first full-length completed exclusively with an outside producer. It follows 2016’s Moon Cabin and 2021’s Shenanigans Nite Club.
Working with a producer in the Catskills
The whole album was made at Goodwin’s Woodstock studio, in the Catskills.
“James was great. He really got us to think about our approach in so many different ways,” guitarist and vocalist Rick Mitarotonda said.
Mitarotonda also described the record’s through line: “The underlying idea of Dripfield is that of saturation.”
Ten tracks and four singles
The album runs: “Borne,” “Hungersite,” “Dripfield,” “Slow Ready,” “The Whales,” “Arrow,” “Hot Tea,” “Moonrise,” “Honeybee” and “726.”
Four of those arrived ahead of the release as singles, each with an official music video: “Borne,” “Hungersite,” “Dripfield” and “Arrow.” The title track’s video, directed by Dylan Hahn, was shot over three days in the Mojave Desert.
“Moonrise” was written by Peter Anspach. At the time of the album announcement, “Hungersite” and “Moonrise” had not been played live.
