GrassRoots 2027 Fall Special Tickets Go on Sale for the 35th Festival
Four-day passes for the 35th Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival, July 22-25, 2027 in Trumansburg, are on sale at the $169.65 Fall Special rate through October 31.

TRUMANSBURG, N.Y. — Tickets for the 35th Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance are on sale now. The festival runs Thursday, July 22 through Sunday, July 25, 2027 at the Trumansburg Fairgrounds.
The first tier on sale is the Fall Special, the lowest of the five rates for a four-day adult pass. It is $169.65 with all fees included and is available through October 31, 2026. The price rises on November 1.
Four-day adult and youth passes and single-day tickets are listed now. The festival has not yet announced performers for 2027.
Five rates between now and the gate
The four-day adult pass, for ages 16 and over, steps up on a fixed schedule through the winter and spring. Every price below includes the festival’s 11 percent Health & Safety Fee and 6 percent Processing Fee. The Fall Special breaks down as $145, plus $15.95 for health and safety and $8.70 for processing.

The 35th year in Trumansburg
GrassRoots grew out of a 1990 AIDS benefit at Ithaca’s State Theatre, where Donna the Buffalo, The Horse Flies and Neon Baptist played a sold-out show that raised more than $10,000 for AIDS Work of Tompkins County. Jeb Puryear started the festival the following year, in 1991, with Donna the Buffalo, his family and the people around them.
The 34th edition ran in July 2026, with Rhiannon Giddens, Taj Mahal and the Del McCoury Band at the top of the bill.
Culture Camp the week before
The 10th annual GrassRoots Culture Camp runs July 18 to 21, 2027, at the Trumansburg Fairgrounds ahead of the festival.
Youth and family admission
Children 12 and under are admitted free with a parent or guardian. Children 15 and under must be supervised by a ticketed parent or guardian, and a Guardianship Card must be filled out and kept on file at the Ticket Booth. Youth passes are not sold at the gate to youth without a parent or guardian.
Getting there
The festival site is at 2150 Trumansburg Road. There is no parking at the fairgrounds unless you are vehicle camping. The official lot is at the Across The Way Campgrounds, 8669 Falls Road, at $10 a day or $30 for the weekend, with a shuttle bus to the front gate during limited hours.
TCAT Route 21 runs from Ithaca to Trumansburg and stops at the front gate.
Camping
Onsite camping goes on sale in February, generally on February 14. For 2026, all campsites went on sale February 14. Camping details for 2027 have not been posted.
